| Q. |
I
waste a lot of time waiting for my print jobs to finish so that
I can return to work in my applications. Is there any way to
speed up the printing? |
| |
|
| A.
|
You may
not be able to increase the pace at which your printer turns
out pages. If it has enough memory, it's already going as
fast as it can. (If not, adding more memory will help.) You
can, however, get back to your applications faster by "printing
in background."
Background
printing means you're sending the job to a "spooler,"
which takes the job from your application, then sends it to
the printer. Meanwhile, you can get back to work almost instantly.
Note, however, that spooled jobs take longer to print. Many
application programs have print spooling (background spooling)
capability built-in. Otherwise, software programs are available
to handle the task.

| Q. |
Why
I am getting light print on just part of my page? |
| |
|
| A.
|
Chances
are that the cartridge is to blame, either it is defective or
because its toner supply is running low. If you're lucky, the
problem will disappear after you install a replacement cartridge.
If you do not have a replacement cartridge on hand, remove the
cartridge and redistribute the toner by rolling it from side-to-side
and front-to-back, but only to a 45° angle in each direction.
If the light print problem isn't caused by the above, your printer
most likely has a bad laser scanner, although light print could
also result from a malfunctioning DC Controller. |

| Q. |
If
I use a recycled or remanufactured cartridge in my machine will
it void my manufacturer's warranty? |
|
|
| |
|
| A. |
No!
Using a recycled or remanufactured cartridge DOES NOT void a
manufacturer's warranty. |
|
|
| |
|
| Q. |
How
does remanufacturing cartridges help the environment? |
|
|
| |
|
| A. |
Remanufacturing
both laser and inkjet cartridges reduces the amount of non-biodegradable
plastic in landfills. Additionally, the manufacturing process
used to create new cartridges depends heavily on fossil fuels,
usually imported fossil fuels. That's why the EPA has mandated
the use of remanufactured cartridges for all federal agencies. |

|
| Q. |
Can
I save money by using remanufactured cartridges? |
|
|
| |
|
| A. |
Yes!
Savings up to 60 percent! Your savings can amount to thousands
of dollars each year. |
|
|
| |
|
| Q. |
Are
remanufactured cartridges inferior to new ones? |
|
|
| |
|
| A. |
No.
There should be no difference in the print quality or page yield
of a remanufactured cartridge. We use only graphics quality
toner and replacement parts that meet or exceed the OEM standard. |
